Apart from paddling and competing in regional, state, national and international dragon boat regattas, we also hold great social functions for members and friends throughout the year. AND… we often gather for coffee and a chat after Saturday training. .

Upcoming Regattas

As a sporting club, we train for and compete in a number of regattas during the year. At the beginning of each new regatta season commencing in July, we decide as a club, based on the recommendations of the Regatta Co-ordinator and the coaches, which scheduled DBNSW and other regattas we might like to participate in. The schedule is regularly revised at our monthly meetings throughout the year.

As a member of Bidgee Dragons, you are eligible to participate in any regatta in NSW, interstate, nationally or internationally. The entry fee for most regattas is approximately $37 - $45 per paddler, with accommodation and travel expenses usually shared among the team participants. We aim to participate in a regatta at least every two months. Participation in regattas is certainly not compulsory but we encourage all our members to come along to compete and ave fun!

Each regatta is set up as an EVENT and members are provided with full details and invited to attend. ALL members are requested to make a Yes or No response to the invitation. You will also be asked to consider volunteering as a Team Manager.
